SAXOPHONIST

Jean-Pierre Subra-Bieusses aka "JP"

Jean-Pierre (JP) hails from France and has been playing the Saxophone for over 20 years. He has played with artistes such as Penny Forde, Melissa Bell and Lucy Jones.

DRUMMER

DreadKey aka Ciaran

Ciaran is a multi-talented musician/vocalist who also plays Keyboards, Violin and Guitar.
He has played in a variety of bands including First love and in venues both in the UK and abroad and has also appeared at the Montreaux Jazz Festival, Notting Hill Carnival, Earls Court and The Hackney Empire.

PERCUSSIONIST

Pete the bongo man

Pete is one of the UK’s finest percussionists he has been playing for over 22 years and can regularly be seen in and around the lively London nightclub scene where is constantly booked to accompany London’s top Dj’s as they spin their dance tunes. He has travelled as far as, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and the United States.
He has played with groups such as Incognito, Soul II Soul, Jodeci and The Average white band.

LEAD GUITARIST

Dave B

Dave is one of the UK’s finest performers. His musicianship is sought after all over the globe and he is a real asset to Soul Explosion.
Also multi-talented, Dave writes, produces, plays guitar, keyboards and possesses an enviable vocal range.
Dave has been a musician for 25 years and has real flare for his craft. He has appeared at Wembley, The Jazz Café, Earls Court and Hammersmith Palais and has worked with Gwen Dickey, Alexander O’Neil, Steps and Whitney.

BASS GUITARIST

D'andre West aka J-Smooth

J-smooth is another of our Multi-talented group members.
As well as the bass guitar, he is also a seasoned drummer and vocalist.
He has performed with R &B sensation Usher, also Lemar, Lulu , Kurt Franklin and various choirs, worldwide.
Originally from the Sunny island of Jamaica, J-smooth has played in many different countries with a wealth of various artistes. He is also a producer and songwriter.

KEYBOARDS & MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Jerome Andrae West aka J-slick

Jerome is an exceptional musician. He plays 7 instruments, he is a dynamic and very much sought-after producer, songwriter. He is also a fantastic vocalist.
Born in Jamaica, but now residing in East London, Jerome has worked for MTV, TOTP, CDUK and has toured with many big names including J2, Lemar, Missy Elliot, SWV and Will Young.
Jerome joined forces with Soul Explosion in July 2002 and is now the groups musical Director… His musical skills are deeply valued he is, without doubt, one of the UK’s finest musician and a real asset to the band.

VOCALIST

Chris Stevens

Chris Stevens has been a vocalist for 20 years .
His soulful husky tones have been compared to such people as Smokey Robinson, Luther Vandross and Peabo Bryson.
He has sang backing vocals for Queen, earth wind and Fire and also, Keisha white.
A vocalist in his own right, Chris is now the part of the powerful vocal line-up in Soul explosion

BACKING & LEAD VOCALS

Alex Bell & Sheniece Burke

Both Alex and Sheniece are talented backing vocalist who occasionally as additional lead vocalist during Soul Explosions many performances.
Alex, (left) is currently recording her debut album and works as a session vocalist in the UK recording scene.
Sheneice, (right) is a touring vocalist who has worked with, Cindi Lauper and Donna Summer.

Sound Engineer

DJB

David has studied sound engineering for 3 years and is a fresh and innovative asset to Soul Explosion. He makes sure that we have an excellent sound at each and every function we undertake! He has worked at Channel 4 and in various recording studios in London and Home counties.
